Okay. You may think this is weird, considering my fondness for aircraft, but I can't stand it when they turn retired a/c into bars and restaurants. Not only is the whole idea tacky, IMO, but they invariably go broke, and the aircraft is left to rot and decay.

What a sad demise for the "Queen of the Skies."

Just barely over the line for tacky is the town of Helen , in N. GA , within spitting distance of Top Of Georgia Airstream Park, on the Chattahoochie River. Made over as a German village with all the touristy shops you can possibly imagine. It’s actually a fun place to go if it’s NOT a major holiday weekend. Traffic can back up for hours.

Whenever we stay at Top Of GA, we always go into Helen and feast at Paul’s Steakhouse - best ribeye ever😜
