Harvest Hosts

This service and membership is intriguing, and seems like an idea that may be worthwhile. I'd like to hear some opinions from subscribers, and perhaps some experiences.
Is it worth it? What about generator use? How common are places that have some semblance of hookups?
Forgive me if this thread has already been posted; I did a search, but found nothing.

FYI Harvest Hosts has been mentioned in many places all over AirForums:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Harv...=airforums.com

You can always add, to a standard search on Google and DuckDuckGo, the term inside the quotes "site:airforums.com" which you can see in the URL above.

Seems like a great way to travel, especially for wineries, breweries and so forth IMO!

To answer your question, HH is a great concept, and offers intriguing adventures, whether your staying at a brewery, vineyard, museum or working farm. We stayed at a vineyard in NC on our way from VA to Charleston, SC last week, and it was a delightful experience. Mostly it's boondocking, very safe in our experience. Beats a Walmart parking lot by far! Try it out...LoLoHo is a great place to connect for a membership with a discount.

We are recent members and have used HH and enjoyed it. Some of the locations are "off the beaten track" but that suits us well.

I have not stayed at a HH while using a generator. It is my understanding that some places allow generators. You will have to check the specific host you are visiting.

And there is a discount if you are a member of the Airstream Club.
