Thanks for taking me to Alaska again. And it costs a lot less than last year.
There is an Avion parked semi-permanently at the Pueblo, Colo., KOA, that looks a lot like the one you saw.

Glad your Home safe...
Now get busy, not polishing that Airstream.

Hi, Bob. Lots of cleaning to do and a few repairs. My bathroom wall where it meets with our refrigerator wall has come loose again. Last time I used my air-nailer, but this time I clamped everything together and put six screws in it at the corner Oak moulding. I'm using the two piece plastic caps on the screws so it doesn't look like a hack job. I cleaned the bathroom vent sceen and the refrigerator is next in line on the inside. The outside needs to be washed really good, and later, I will have to repaint my tongue and hitch again. [they were like brand new when we left home and now look like 7 years old] Wax!!!! What's that? Sounds like work to me.

Hi, Gene. I'm gun'na let my secretary take care of the bills; Might give me a heart attack or something. For all of those who think the fuel prices in California are outrages, try Canada and Alaska.

Hi, Gail. Dusty [Boo-Boo] is about three times a heavy as your Maltese. Unless he gained weight on this trip. I haven't weighed him yet. Bob and Lee Lee didn't gain any weight, we had good food on this trip. And lots of walking exercise.

Hi, Paula. Our money on this trip was only going out and we had to be home before we were out. [just kidding] we still have some young working people supporting us.

Hi, today I fixed my loose bathroom wall. It shouldn't ever come loose again, but you never know. I drilled two holes for screws, six inches from the top. Then I drilled two holes six inches from the bottom. then I drilled two more holes, centered between the top and bottom. Screwed in six 3/4" screws with plastic caps. Also today the Sun was going down and the temp was just right for a wash job on the Safari. Tomorrow, I will see what I missed and what will need special attention. It had road oil/tar all over the front, on both sides and even on the rear. It looks pretty from a distance, but, well you know!
(1.) Freshly washed Safari.
(2.) Wall separation repair.

I had the same separation on my 05 Safari and did the same thing you did. After about 2500 miles it is holding nicely.

One of our oak corners came off too. They had used finishing nails that were too short and I used slightly longer (about a quarter inch) nails and zapped them in with a nail gun and also glued it. It has stayed tight for many thousands of miles. If I had used longer nails, they would have gone into the fridge.

Me too.....I haven't been back to my native Michigan since I was 14. It was nice growing up there.....taking the family travel trailer up to Lake Huron. Gorgeous area. Lived in the north part up past Traverse City near Lake Michigan. Bucket list?

Hi, it must be nice to be young and energetic, like Vinnie. Besides supporting Bob, Lee Lee, and Boo-Boo [Dusty] he also has to pay for a new Dodge. I know they call it a Ram now, but to us old folk, it's still a Dodge. More random trips in our future; Full time is only a dream at this time.

Robert,
So.... are you really considering an oxymoron as a new TV?

Hi, not an oxymoron, but a F-150/250/350 with a 6.2L engine or possibly, eat my words, a diesel.

Could never understand Chryslers reasoning, Dodge or Ram?, it can't be both.

I love my Buick but I'm kinda a Ford guy. My first cars were Fords. I've never owned a mopar product. I have 2 Jeeps, CJ7 and a J20 but were built by AMC. We have our son's Jeep Compass while he is sailing the Indian Ocean with the Navy. But our daily driver is a '94 Camry. 50% of the Buick convertible's mileage is towing the Trade Wind. 455 cid is plenty of power!

Bob (of WNY),
I think they are using Ram now to emphasize aggression and the "hemi" engine. As I understand, every engine is a hemi and simply refers to the hemispherical area in the cylinder above the piston. I thought everybody has been doing that for more than a generation.
Neil,
By the way, I long ago had a CJ5 made during the AMC era and it is tied for worst vehicle I ever owned.
Bob (of Cal),
Sorry your Lincoln is wearing. How about a Sequoia with the 5.7 L.? Comfortable and big engine.
