No free lunch

Verizon may have deals from time to time where they will discount or give the device free, however, they will make all their money back and more with the big monthly fee.

MiFi & Pie Town...

I bought our MiFi outright from Verizon. We turn it off and on as needed. Right now if I was going to do it over I would probably consider getting the Verizon iPad offering which is bundled with a MiFi. Of course they do make up for low entry price (and more) over the life of the plan. Anyhow very nice 3G coverage along the US 60 corridor in NM. As for Pie Town (only a few more miles west on US 60 from Datil), they have at least one RV park that looked alright when we went through.

Bit of a delay here. The stack windows in the 67 are leaking too much. (That's apparently what those smaller, rectangular, fixed-mount windows below curved ones are called.) Talking to the good folk at Inland today, I found that new seals are not available, but that removing the glass and existing rock-hard rubber, cleaning what remains, and remounting with sealant may do the trick.

We made it to a very windy high of 36 degrees today, and somehow I just didn't feel up to freezing my behind to start the work on the windows.

The trip was a bit different from planned. I went to Bosque del Apache (and nearby VLA) and to ABQ only, but got some intensive time with each (including at the Buckhorn Tavern for a couple of green chili cheeseburgers). Here are a couple of pics:
