Well, despite a folly finding the right drain adapter to fit our A/S and then having to duct tape the hose onto the adapter, our first trip with our A/S was a success and wonderful experience. We went to a nearby (70 miles each way) Jellystone (Yogi Bear) RV camp. The kids had a great time as did my wife and I. We were the only airstream in camp and had a steady flow of people stopping by asking quetions and giving compliments on "how cool" it looked. We're already planning our next trip and can't wait
!
While we were in camp, I had the contractor who did our A/S parking pad come back and level it out and reduce the angle of the ramp. It helped alot, but I still didn't have enough clearance to drop the tongue jack as our tow vehicle (T/V) still being on the ramp gives an improper angle at the hitch. I had to put 3 of the "Legos" under both of the rear tires of my T/V to raise the hitch. Now I just hope I have enough clernce next time I hook up to lift the jack off of it's foot. The solution is I have to extend the pad far enough back so the front tires come down off the ramp and both the A/S & T/V
are level. This means I need a toal of 55' of a flat pad past the ramp. The parking space for our A/S has become a big unforeseen expense, and I don't even have the port in to cover the A/S yet
