Nature Pix of the Day

I thought you all might like these pictures of the bumble bee nest that was in my battery box. I saw the bees going in & out, but when I opened the door, I thought a mouse must have been in there during the winter. I stuck on my big rubber glove & took out the battery. The bumble bees made their nest along side of the battery. I grabbed out the whole nest & flung it in a bucket of water. The thing floating in the bucket was the nerve center of the nest. My daughter poked it & out came all different sized larve and some newly hatched bees. I know bees are good, but not in my trailer!!! I thought it was interesting & had my camera right there (for project pix), so here you go!

Not at all being a fan of things that sting, this is still quite interesting! Who knew what was inside a beehive!
