Metal drape snaps

I have metal snaps at the top and bottom of my drapes. I was wondering if anyone could tell me were to buy them and how they install into the wall.

I bought snaps from the sewing aisle at WalMart to put on the curtains I made. The snaps were already on the wall so didn't have to install those, the large size snaps fit perfectly. New Airstream Curtains

We picked ours up at Joann's came in a kit with the tools to set them on the drape. I used a multi head leather punch to make the holes in the drapes. The portion on the wall in ours is held in place by (my guess) a #6 by 1/2 metal screw. You could probably rivet them to the wall also. Get your snaps and take the wall part to your local hardware to see what will fit thru the center hole. When you install them - measure carefully...

I appreciate both your post. I will need to add some snaps to the wall as well as to new fabric that is going up.This will be one more thing I will have done. Sorry for the delay in getting back. Christmas has us all busy. I pray both of you have a wonderful Christmas.

We used individual metal snaps on the windows for our outdoor window awnings. I got them at an Army-Navy store and riveted them in place wit 1/8" x 1/4" (short) aluminum rivets.

I know some vintage trailers had a cotton ribbon that had the snaps already on them that was attached then to the curtains. If you have an old set of curtains, you could remove it & re-use it. I haven't seen it sold anywhere, but I haven't looked.
