    Hello!

My husband and I are looking into buying a 1969 31' Sovereign in Oklahoma City and were wondering if you would be willing to do an inspection for us? We will are in Denver and will be able to make it out there next Saturday.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hi Tom,

I sent you a private message but haven't seen a response. Maybe you haven't checked your account in a while. Hope this message gets to you. I am from San Diego, CA and heading out to OK soon to purchase a 25' Safari about 100miles from Oklahoma City. Would you please let me know if you are available and willing to help with the inspection? I am happy to compensate for your time and travel expenses. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I put a deposit down on an Airstream in Oklahoma City yesterday, 2/1/14, I am in Dallas and there is a snow/ice storm between. I need someone to look at it this week and let me know if it is probably fine. Willing to pay expenses.

Thanks, looks a lot like yours only shorter... (-: We just got back from our first rally ever in Glen Rose TX. Over 70 rigs with 30 or more being Vintage. Wonderful time. You can see some pics at the WBCCI Texas Highland Lakes Unit FaceBook page..

I go thru Choctaw several times a week. Was just there yesterday and saw some of the burning. Pretty scarey for us here in this wind.

I haven't been involved much in the forum lately since my husband and I have the 1976, 31ft Sovereign parked down at Eufaula, while we build a house. I love this trailer more than any AS I have ever had. Unfortunately my husband was diagnosed with inoperable cancer last week so the house probably won't be finished and the AS will not be used again. I'm having a hard time wraping my mind around life right now, but I would love to see your trailer on one of my trips to Choctaw. I thought I had sighted every AS in this part of Oklahoma by now, but I don't remember seeing yours.

    Hi Tom,

The gray stuff is Quest. It had a bad reputation and much of it failed in homes after it aged. That said, I have had no problems with it so far. I have used PEX for any new connections or repairs, like changing to a new faucet in the kitchen sink. The white plastic connectors for PEX that you hand tighten work well for both. I have also used the brass connectors that require crimping copper rings with success on both. I can borrow crimping tools, but find that kind of connector difficult to locate in Little Rock anymore. I don't see any need for a special fitting to adapt Quest to PEX. Just use the PEX fittings, not the Quest ones.

The water will drain out of the belly pan. As long as there has not been wetness for a long time like from doors, windows, or other shell leaks everything should dry out fine.

OK, there was more, but there is a 1,000 character limit for Profile Comments/Conversations.
