Dashboard Repair on Vinyl Upholstery

We have a motorhome and we were moving furniture through the door and we scratched and marred up the vinyl dashboard in a few places. How can I repair those places on the dashboard. Is there a product that I can purchase to repair the spots?

Welcome to the forums.
I am not certain which vinyl you damaged on your dash, the hard or soft. The soft is difficult to repair and have it come out looking good. You might try polishing it with a mild abrasive polish which will dull the entire area. If it was the hard vinyl you can paint it. We did this on our dash using a product by Dupli-Color- Adhesion Promotor and then Krylon's Fusion paint. It comes in a wide range of colors. there is a paint for soft vinly but after seeing the results at a local body shop I was not satisfied. The soft vinyl can be replaced at a fairly low price, that is what we did.
Good luck to you. By the way what kind of motor home do you own?

I have a 2000 Diesel Motorhome. It is on the hard vinyl above the TV. Our TV is in the middle of the dashboard. The scratches and tear is on the top of the vinyl above the TV. I would really hate to paint it, because I would be afraid of chips. I thought about going to an upholstery place and perhaps they could tell me what they would do. Thanks anyway. If you know of any other solution, please advise me. I may have to resort to painting it.
