Do we have any experts on plastics here?
I'd like to find a sheet plastic material that is rigid enough to stand on end, but can be rolled. If you're familiar with 'Crazy Carpets' (a sheet of plastic used for sliding down hills in winter), this is the sort of plastic I'm interested in. Does anyone know what sort of plastic this would be? Is it a type of nylon? Where would I buy it? It seems to me, that this sort of plastic would be a great option for replacing tambour, especially if one wants to achieve a more contemporary look. Any help sourcing such a product would be great. I'm going to go to Canadian Tire to buy a 'crazy carpet' top try out, but they are only 18" wide. This is perfect for the bathroom cabinet, but I would need something wider if I want to replace the tambour in my galley.
