Talking Over The Deep End

Hi there. My husband and I (and 2 great kids) have recently purchased a new 25' FB A/S and are sure that we have completely gone over the deep end. We have been occasional tent campers for the last couple of years and started to look at campers in the fall with no clear idea where we were headed. Well, the fever pitched at Christmas with Santa hauling our new beauty by sleigh right to our driveway. We rang in the new year outdoors by the fire pit spending our first night of '08 in beautiful Ft. De Soto Park (Florida). We spent a couple of days getting used to our new adventure and then moved our camp over to a friend's ranch for an extra day or two. I can't express how excited we are about the opportunities ahead. This is a great forum and during our search we often referred to the info here for guidance. Thanks to all of you and we look forward to all the airstream dreams possible!

Welcome...you will fit right in!

We all suffer from extreme aluminitis.

It is incurable.

Welcome From Santa Rosa Beach

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

You're going to love Aistreaming. We have Lucy, a 25FB that we have had for about a year and a half. We've spent over 200 nights in Lucy and have towed her almost 30,000 miles. Every time we come home, we can't wait to leave again.

Welcome! You and your family are going to have a lot of fun and create great memories. My wife and I bought a 25' Classic in October and love it. We spent the last week of October on the water at Ft Desoto (it's one of our favorites) and last week we went to the Can Opener Rally in Destin, Florida at Topsail State Park. It was our first rally and we had a fantastic time - lots of kids too. You should consider attending that rally next January. And no, you haven't gone over the deep end - you just opened up a new door.

Owning and using an Airstream certainly changes your life. I look at those who have one just setting unused on their property somewhere and wonder if they realize what they really have setting there. Even if one is in decrepid condition, it can be made into something great!

Congratulations on your new Airstream...and what a great way to get started. I doudt that you will ever regret this exciting step, so forget the "deep end" thing...you are well on you way to a more enjoyable lifestyle as Airstreamers! You have much to look forward to!
