New member, still trying to decide on which Airstream.

Hello all,

This is quite an amazing little corner of the internet you've got here. I've never seen such detailed support for a product - the restoration advice alone is impressive. It was almost detailed enough to fool me into thinking I could do it.

I've been poking around the site for a couple days and finally decided to just ask for advice. I wasn't sure where to post my request for help thread, but since I know I'm looking for an Airstream trailer, I posted it there.

Basically, I'm looking to buy an Airstream I can turn into a writing office. More details in the linked post.

Anyone with opinions who feels like throwing one at me, please do.

Meanwhile, I'l keep looking at all the cool pictures.

what a cool idea! i have seen pictures of airstreams made into many things, but not an office. is this going to be a traveling office or a stationary one! do you have a year, size, model preference? good luck and glad you joined us!

Well, really, I just don't have room for a caboose.

Or a WWII tank, that'd be cool, too.

But I think an Airstream would be less upsetting to the neighbors.

To answer your question, I'm imagining it as stationary, but I think that if I actually had it, I might start getting ideas. I think my car would have none of it, though. So if I wanted to move, I'd have to get something to move it with.
