New member, looking to get 22' refurb

Hi, looking for info on how to find a good 22' to pull with my 2002 tundra. Have seen new ones for 39K and hope to get started with a fixer upper. Hope to retire and fix it up for travel out west. thanks, Dan

Welcome..

Dan-

Welcome and good luck in your search... Patience is the word of the day....

You didn't mention budget or vintage, so there are lots and lots of choices in 22' Airstreams... Practice with search function here (typing in combinations of words like "finding" and "good used" and others to see what existing strings of messages you can find with general advice...

Quickie version (typed several times before..) are to look at 4 major online classifieds ( HERE, rvtraderonline.com, airstream.net and craigslist). Be very careful of E-Bay, where fraud and scams abound, exspecially among "Buy It Now" deals involving any special instructions for contacting seller and amazingly good prices...

Market is national, not local, so expand your search. Others are doing the same. Try local BCCI chapters and also dealers within several hundred miles, as someone might be wanting to trade in their 22 for larger one next week...

Finally, "Great Condition" means different things to different people. Either see trailer in person, or get friend or acquaintance to do so, if at all possible.

John
