Member Titles, what do you think?

A members title appears belowe their name on all of their posts. One of the features of this forum is that a members title changes as they become more active.

To depart from the conventional forum titles we need to develop titles that better fit the Airstream community! Please let us know what you think would be good titles!

Standard Forum Titles:
New Member (Minimum Posts: 0)
Member (Minimum Posts: 5)
Senior Member (Minimum Posts: 100)

My initial suggestions:
Community Newbie (Minimum Posts: 0)
Active Member (Minimum Posts: 5)
Community Guru (Minimum Posts: 100)

This is a suggestion, I made on another BB, but the admin never went for it:
new rivet: new member 0-4 posts
1 rivet member: 5 posts
2 rivet member: 20 posts
3 rivet member: 50 posts
4 rivet member: 100 posts
5 rivet member: 200 posts
Maybe a small icon under the name with the number of rivets earned?
Or "riveticon.gif" rivet member

After all, rivets is what its all about, but I could be bias, since I set and shaved rivets all day long.

Very cute! I like it... :-)

Can we use the rivet icon offline in personal webpages?

Talking Feel free to use the Rivet image! (Personal sites only!)

FYI, I love your site, you guys got busy huh?

Have you already built the dinnete? I am thinking about doing the same thing. Post a link in the "Airstream Links" forum so everyone can see your site!

Cheers,

Andy

Once the membership counts goes up, you could have a drawing for a free rivet. Or may be a poll for the best avatar and the winner gets a rivet.

naw, rivets are awarded for posts! big kiss lips for best avatar!

hey, what gives with the comments about "shinier rivets" for supporters I have seen elsewhere? I hope this doesn't mean I have to wear my gym clothes...

I just PM'd him on this. I was very perplexed when I started reading the thread, then looked at the date. I give him the big....

I think it is totally cool to see the "rivet" history. Rosie, it's just the way Andy R, our administrator, defines it in post 6. From the history, it looks like originally rather non-specific titles to describe members were proposed, but then the "rivet" to designate activity on the forum was chosen, fitting right in with our aluminum Airstreams. They occasionally become a lively topic of discussion here on the forum, and new members always wonder what they mean! ~G

Rosie, 3 more posts and you'll have your first rivet. Besides the ones on your trailer....
