New Member - changing to Airstream

Hello,

New to this forum, my wife and I have trailered for about 15 years and are finally going to move up to an Airstream in the next year or two. My parents have one and have owned them for about 30 years now so I know how nice they are and how well they pull.

I'll be looking at different options inculding rehabing one, perhaps even my parent's current one so we'll see what time will bring.

Hi Mark, I hope you find what you are looking for. It is great to find other MI. people, have you checked the metro-detroit rally that is going on in Aug. You can always come over and visit and check us out we have people that come from OH and IN for that rally it is always a blast. You are lucky to be in GR because there is an awesome dealer there that knows what they are talking about, they have helped me a few times.

Happy to have you join us.

My 1968 Tradewind was purchase use. The previous owner checked the axel arm angles (down 20 degrees) to make sure they were OK. The wheel berrings were all repacked, and he replace several appliances.

The AS pulls fine behind a 1/2 tom P/U on flat land, but I bought a 2006 diesel to pull the trailer up North Georgia mountians.

If your in doubt about the trailer your are thinking about purchasing, a number of members here will help to inspect the trailer to give you an unbias opinion.
