New Kid

New kid on the block just purchased this past weekend, a glorious 1973 Sovereign weighing in at 31'. It's all-original and in fair condition with front upper right skin damage caused by hitting a tree. I found this one in Pecos, NM and towed it home to Denver to start the work. We towed it off the side of a small mountain about 2 miles up and a long, winding, washed out road. Unfortunately we had to cut down a few trees to make some very tight turns. After we got it down on a Sunday afternoon it was off to WalMart (no parts stores open) next to scrape up material to rewire brake lights, turn signals, body lights and brakes and 6 hours. It turned out to be the best tow I have ever experienced. When we finally made it home we encountered a problem a major swaying in the rear.........is it wheel bearings, axel or what..........still investigating.

I am thrilled to become a part of this community and spent many hours reading prior to the purchase, it helped immensely.

Interesting question there... I am clueless... however, you want to make sure you don't have some item that is heavy rolling around back there! Or rear area sag meaning a damaged frame in the back... Once you have time to really look and inspect maybe you will learn why it began swaying! You might also want to use the search tool (see the top blue toolbar) and key in swaying... might find interesting threads to help you answer your question.
