Needing lots of advice

Hello Airstream and Argosy communities. I am a new owner of a '78 Argosy Minuet trailer which I acquired in SD and brought up to Canada. Currently, my husband, who is unfortunately dying of cancer, and I are in the process of renovationg this little gem. We own a 310 Classic Motorhome which we have already renovated. Luckily my hubby knows a lot but I won't be able to rely on him throughout the whole process. He told me that this was the place to come if I had questions or needed help. I hope you will all be patient with me. I am more than willing to learn and work at it (retiring in June) to bring this project to fruition. I look forward to posting and asking lots.
Regards
Rielle

Hi Rielle, happy to hear from a fellow Streamer! The classic MH (my project) is quite different than the trailer, you are in the right place. Ask lots of questions, and we really like pics!

The rest show a few initial stages of removal of the interior components. We were very pleased that the trailer was complete with mostly original components including a hammock. The structural attachment pieces for the hammock were unfortunately not present, but still, very cool. Even though not many pieces will be retained we are keeping them for reference until completion because we are not going too far off the original footprint, in much the same way we renovated our 310. I am hopeful that our Classic Motorhome friends will reach out and connect with me.
Regards
Rielle

Hello from Colorado and welcome to Airstream Forums. There is a large Arogsy trailer community here that are more than willing to answer your questions and give advice. Knowledge is power and I recommend you start reading all you can about these trailers and how they are renovated. Here is a link to the Forums "knowledge base" found near the bottom of the Forums page. Click on Argosy Trailers and start reading about trailers similar to yours.

You can study up and make plans to help keep you motivated during these difficult times ahead. Your hubby will be pleased you are going to finish the trailer for him.

Here is a photo of one we saw while out traveling. Thought you might like to see it.

Welcome to the forum Rielle. I wish it was under better circumstances.

Your husband was right about this forum. It has a lot of experienced folks who are generous with their help. I'm sure some who are experienced with your model will be along to help.

I wish you good luck.
