Made the impossible Happen

Given the demand for Airstreams, new & old, we didn't think we'd find one this summer but managed to pick up a 2007 Safari (Bambi?) 19' in great condition. We've wanted an airstream for a while and we are really excited the dream has come true. We live in SoCal but picked it up in the Portland area. Sleeping in it now in a friends driveway. We've got all kinds of plans for it and we're grateful this community exists. It's me, my wife and 7 year old daughter. If the Canadian border ever opens up we're going to take it across the border to visit my wife's family (Come on Trudeau! ).

Great find. And yes you will love it. Being a member of the Airstreams owner's club carries a lot of responsibilities, like: flash your headlights at oncoming Airstreams and wave, great other Airstream owners at the campsite if seen, help other Airstream owners in anyway you can, and all the other virtues of happy living.

I bet it won't be your last Airstream trailer.

Love it! I had a 2007 as well - good year generally speaking!

Check out the seal at the rear bumper - some trailers would get some water penetration there. That is really the only major issue I ran into.

Happy trails!!

Thank you everyone! Regarding rear bumper seal: what kind of signs should I look for for potential water penetration?

On the inside of the trailer - head right to the back and check the floor for soft spots. Not sure if you have a corner bed / rear shower - if you do you can also check the floor by way of the rear hatch, although my storage compartment had a metal floor that covered up the issue.

Water meter is another way but most people don’t have access to one of those.

Not trying to cause concern where none is warranted, it was just an issue some of those 2007 trailers had (including mine). Good to check it out
