Hi from Texas!

Hi Everyone,Steve here.
New to the forums in the last couple of months.I am a photographer in the Dallas area and wanted something really cool to hit the road in this summer for my Great Photo Project.
I started looking for an Overlander but found an outstanding 65( nice original) one owner Ambassador. It is 7 hrs. away and am driving to pick it up next week. Can't wait.
I built muscle cars in the 60's and am a skilled furniture maker so I thought this would be a fun project I could probably tackle.
Never owning a trailer before, this Forum has been an invaluable source for my research on making my decision.
It would really be great to interact with any Airstreamers doing restoration on their coaches in the North Texas area especially the DFW area.
If anyone on the Forum is redoing a 65 Ambassador I would like to hear about your progress.
Glad to be here and finding out more each day.
Steve

Glad you've joined the aluminum herd, Steve. Congratulations on your Overlander, err Ambassador. Your past experiences look like they'll come in handy for your renovation. Do you have any pictures you can share? We love pictures.

Welcome Steve,

Congrats on your new Ambassador. Post some before and after photogarpahs if you're able.

Regards,

Kevin

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Congratulation on your new baby. You're going to have a great time with her. There is nothing like seeing this country in an Airstream. Send us baby pictures.

Break that baby in with a weekender up here at Johnson Branch SP. Less than an hour north. I have visions of an Airstream Chevy 409 combo. (I',m a Chevy type) Great photo area too.

we've got a good group of local streamers in the DFW area. our next get together is the first weekend in December. there's a few in the group that are restorers and good sources of info/experience. shoot me a private message with your email if you'd like info on our get togethers and I'll get you on the distribution list.
