'78 Ambassador Air Conditioner

I have just purchased a 78 Ambassador and was wondering about the air conditioner. It has an Armstrong unit and the fan runs fine but I can't hear the compressor kick in. Is this something that can be fixed or would I be better off to replace the unit?

It can be repaired. Most RV places only want to replace the unit.
It has been said that a functioning Armstrong will out perform the new units.
You may be able to locate an HVAC shop that would be willing to work on it.
My guess is. You will have to remove the unit from the coach.
