2022 Price Increase

Hello,
My wife & I are in the process of trying to locate a dealer to place an order on a 2022 FC 30' bunk.
However, the MSRP values that I am seeing are a little bit all over the place.

Airstream Adventures is the only website that I have seen that allows you to "build and price". I am unsure if this is for 2021 or 2022.
MSRP $112,033
180w Rooftop Solar Package (2 AGM Batteries) $2,600
Convection Microwave (Replaces oven, removes microwave, adds storage drawers) $475
Window Awning Package $1,850
Plus $1650 dest fee (not advertised)
....grand total of $118608.

However, I was just quoted $118,380 from another dealer when specifically asking about ordering a 2022.

Another dealer in CA used 2021 pricing and added $2800 for the price increase. Their MSRP was 115875 with all options and the dest fee!

Is there a way that we can find out the true MSRP? Was there in fact a price increase for 2022? If so, do we know what %/$?

Thank you!

MSRP doesn't really mean much. The bottom line that you have to pay is the important price!! Balancing the cheapest price against a reputable dealer that will take care of you is one of the most important things. A reasonable price from a reputable dealer is the best buy, IMHO!!

If I were in your area of the world I'd give Colonial Airstream a call and talk with them.

Good morning,
I appreciate the replies! I did speak with Patrick yesterday. He provided his initial best price which was a decent amount more than I had RV One committing to after a few minutes on the phone.

However, I think I was backing myself into a corner with the hyperfocus on % off. It was kind of driving me nuts that there was no clear cut starting price.

But I now realize I had the wrong mindset. Going forward I need to start speaking to my final price and ignoring whatever % off that might be.

I listed my unit for sale last night, once we start getting some bites I'll reach back out to Patrick and hopefully he is willing to play ball.

Thank you all for the redirection!

FWIW I've purchased from RVOne (not an Airstream) and know others that have done business with them. My experience was ok since I bought a relatively cheap camper off the lot and have had no issues with it. I do know others that have had problems with that outfit (refusing to give deposits back after unacceptable delivery delays, overcharging elderly couples). Obviously this is all 2nd 3rd hand so must be taken with a grain of salt. Pretty much everyone I've seen posts from have had good experiences with Colonial.

One thing to consider (assuming you have a dealer anywhere near you) is service. It's difficult if not impossible to get service from places like RVOne or LaMesa if you did not buy your camper from them. Especially these days. Let's say you drive out to Texas to buy a trailer, drive it home and run into warranty issues. It's going to be a chore to get those resolved in a timely manner. In fact, there is no "if" about it. Every new RV will need a few trips into the shop to get things squared away.

I ordered a 30FB bunk a month ago and received a September/October delivery timeframe.

Also, get quotes from multiple dealers. I called a lot of dealers in the southeast and Rocket RV in Huntsville, AL gave me the best price. I know that’s far away from you but may be worth the drive.

Hi

For whatever reason, the AS mothership has not published much in the way of 2022 information. Various dealers seem to have different ideas about what the pricing will look like when the official sheets come out. Given that this is AS, the qualifier on that probably should be "if ever they come out ....".

Archy528, when we ordered our 2019 Globetrotter in December 2018, the dealer said we’s avoid the $4500 January price increase.

He said AS has two per year, one in June and one in December. I’m not sure if that’s still the case but it’s a reference point. We locked in the price at 2018 pricing while the Mooney label on the trailer in April 2019 showed the “new” price.

Hopefully you can make a deal soon!

I'm hearing a whole lot of Feb 2022. I have seen an order slot open up for OCT and NOV but it requires immediate action.

This is great advice! Apparently we just walked into the July 1st price hike

I'm really hopeful that Patrick/Colonial will be able to meet my needs. I'll be honest that I've been nervous to call him back now that I have a set price in mind.
Regarding RV One, if I purchase from one of their dealers in state A, what is the likelihood of getting service in state B? Do they work together or is the "RV One" namesake kind of pointless?

Thanks!

Try reaching out to some dealers. On our way back home to Minnesota from Malibu this past February. We randomly stopped by Airstream of Oklahoma who had a 2021 30Bunk sitting on the lot which we purchased. Our original 2020 25 International which we purchased last June was sitting on the show floor as well.

Colonial did not have the best price for us. I would highly highly recommend rocket rv in Alabama. The fellow we bought from his name was Steven and he was fantastic. They were over $5000 cheaper than colonial. Great people great service.

Any Airstream dealer in any state should do warranty work on your new Airstream. ‘5 Rivet Dealers’ are what you really need to look for. They have the highest standards as set forth by Airstream (supposedly)
We bought from RV One in Tampa, FL but then immediately had warranty work done at the dealer in Atlanta who is not affiliated with RV One.

beware

I ordered my airstream from j d sanders in florida, before it arrived the business was sold to RV One. That has been a nightmare. Do NOT even consider an airsteram from RV One. Will not call you back, even after complaining to the manager.service is poor and unpredictable.

AS of NM

Call or email Dan at AS of New Mexico. We bought about 20 mos ago and got the best price of any AS dealer in the west.
It is a family run business with high integrity.
