Emergency Road Service Vendor?

I'm looking for recommendations on ERS, but can't find a thread through the search function. If one exists, will you please point me to it.

Many thanks.

Good Sam, AAA, or your own insurance company. Google "emergency road service" for plenty of information and additional sources.

Hi

Finding trailer specific emergency service is a bit exciting. All of these outfits contract the service out to locals. It's quite common for them to show up and get a bit confused when confronted with a trailer.

Thanks for reply

Your replies suggest there has been no discussion of this. This may not be all bad because there is one on the FMCA Forum but without consensus. Opinion is split between Good Sam and Coach Net. The same poster can have a good experience with one of them, and then have a bad experience with the same vendor. Seems switching back and forth between vendors is common after a bad experience.

There has been literally dozens of discussions on this subject. Use the search function at the top of of the page. The "on the road" section has several listed on the first couple of pages.

What AWCHIEF said. AAA or Good Sam seem to be the best rated. I have had both and personally like them both. However AAA is my go to favorite for road service on my daily drivers and could not be happier.

The search function is frustrating. If you put in more than one word, It finds all the results with any of the words not all of the words. So I can search for "best emergency road service" and get results for sleeping bags because they were the "best", according to some post.
Maybe there's a secret to using it, but I haven't found it.

I usually just go to Google and type "Best emergency road service" and get a million hits.

Has anyone had any experience with any of these service providers as it pertains to a medical emergency? If so, please share your experience(s). Did they get your rig back to your home while you were incapacitated? This is a primary concern with my wife and I since we have no family members to assist and she doesn't tow the trailer.

Emergency Road Service Vendor?

Getting your rig back home if you have a medical emergency is a completely different animal. You may have better results searching for or starting a different thread.

Meanwhile, we're big fans of AAA Premier RV.

If you *gave* us a CoachNet membership, we'd use their plastic membership card to help open stuck windows on the Airstream, but that's it.

You can use google to search airforums only by adding site:airforums.com to your search.

I have Good Sam and have not had problem.

There used to be a time where AAA would only come out 100 miles from a city. Do not know if this is still true.

Also, we have OnStar. Once was able to get support thru OnStar when cell couldn't find a signal. Consider it part of my gear.

Any searching in Google should always include the word(s) Airforum, on Airforums. Searching in forums on the advance search should have less words, like AAA or Good Sam.

If you want medical try SkyMed. They pecialize in medical transport for travelers along with getting your vehicles transported.

I second this - just moved up to Premier and we love the peace of mind we now have with AAA Premier RV.

I have found that Good Sam Club is excellent. Even have them for insurance. With AAA, the person who is the member must be with you. I blew out a tire and called AAA, but because my wife wasn't with me (she was listed as the member), they would not assist me. Even with Premier membership . . . you have to have family membership at an extra cost. Also, if the you have your tow vehicle and trailer towed, that counts for double milage.
