Just a reminder that all the remaining sites in the Orange loop are reserved by the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA). If we cannot fill up the premium most favored sites in the Purple Loop, and our Orange Loop sites, then FMCA will be more than happy to fill those up. It also means that all the best sites are locked down by either FMCA or TAC.

Kristi ... I hope they will continue to have a speedy recovery from the accident, sounds terrible, I remember meeting them. Please pass along that we are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers. Hope to see them next spring along with everyone else.

Christmas is almost here. Put the Stone Mountain TAC Rally on your Christmas wish list, it would make a great gift. No wrapping required!
Everyone have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year too.
See you in the Spring. Don't forget to winterize your trailers!!

Great Christmas to all Airstreamers, let us make plans soon to let those wheels roll to new adventures. Don't worry about the Mayan prediction, the Airstreams will survive and so will we!

Time to make a New Years resolution to make an appearance at the 2013 TAC Rally at Stone Mountain Park in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Pick up the phone and make your reservation to be part of this years rally.

We just got back from the fun and wildly popular Canopener. There were close to 80 trailers there! Now, the TAC rally at Stone Mountain is the next big thing on our schedule. We’ve been busy brainstorming about all the ways to make the Stone Mountain TAC rally fun! We’re really looking forward to it!

@Someday59---Great postcards, wow those are amazing. April is such a great time of year for the rally at Stone Mountain Park. Everyone enjoys the laser light show against the mountain and the great fireworks. Hopefully the airstream community and others will be just as large as last year or even bigger. My favorite thing is simply to hike up the mountain and enjoy the best view in Atlanta.

TAC Rally Reservations

It's time to get the interest in making reservations up and going, for the TAC Stone Mountain Rally. I just posted the information on my new Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/kristi.foster.161?ref=tn_tnmn. It is also under events. Everyone pitch in and help to promote this Rally. Let's get a response from those of you who are already registered, so others will have an idea of who is attending. The window of opportunity, for obtaining sites in the Purple premium section probably ends in early March. At that time the sites in the loop are released to the general public. Talk it up! Facebook, Blogs, other Forums, just use the internet to spread the word.

Wish I could go. Stone Mountain Park is a great bargain and super good for families. Even though I have to pass on this one I know I will be camping again at Stone Mountain.

I believe you may have us down for a spot. Unfortunately we are unable to get to Stone Mountain until Sunday.

Who is coming to the TAC Rally at Stone Mountain in April 2013?

One reserved site is Cassie and Matt in an Airstream Motorhome.
Another site is Robin and her husband from the Shasta group, however, they will be in a Covered Wagon Trailer, which should be interesting to see.
Time is ticking away, so get your reservations made and let us know who is coming.
I have promoted the Rally on my new Facebook page and on my Blog to help get the information out there.
Let's get those reservations made before they give the sites to the general public.

There is a cutoff date in March sometime after which unreserved sites are released to the public. My guess is that any unreserved sites will get snapped up by the Family Motorcoach Association since their rally is going on the same time as this one.

Just contacted Stone Mountain to make reservations for the rally and got turned off.
I asked about adding the adventure passes to my total and was told 29.95 per person. Now the rally rate is 49.00 per night, so 49+49+(29.95 x 4)= 217.80
The normal stay and play package is 211.00 for the purple loop. So why am I being penalized for being with a group? I couldn't make the park employee understand this,
all she could do is keep telling me I was saving 8.00 per night on the space so I was saving money. She said I could book the stay and play but not on the purple loop as it was reserved for the rally.
Any suggestions on a way to teach someone common sense?

How frustrating!
I'll get in touch with our Stone Mountain campground contact to see if he can help.

Group Rate Benefits

Some of the benefits of the group rate last year were: free entrance into the park the entire visit, the adventure passes were good for two days, free shuttle pass to the laser show from the pavilion, free boatride tours around the lake from the campground dock on Saturday, free shuttle across the lake to the Adventure activities from the campground, discounts on the Duck Ride, plus they provided coffee, cocoa and lemonaid at all of our Pavilion socials.Find out if all of this is included for 2013 Rally and make sure the Pavilion has been reserved for all of our socials too. Thanks Lynnetta.
