Very hectic around here...I have worked full shifts at my ssc walmart and then went to sand bag til 8 or 9pm each night in south sioux...Cynthia has done the same....Tomorrow is another full shift,and then out to moms to empty her basement....Pack her up and get her,caitlan,and the dogs out in a moments notice..Pretty soon my walmart will be under water and the bridge to ssc closed,so I won't be able to get there anyway....More time to help mom with whatever she needs...

I have decided to cancel the rally for this year, and will continue next year. The park has started to contact the people with June reservations, and are giving the money back that folks made with credit cards etc. They will be doing this for July, as soon as they are sure the campground won't be open,(very unlikely)
I will be sending folks rally fees back to them, please be patient, as I have a few things on my mind.
There was a meeting tonight for my part of town, we are to clear out our basements, I won't go all into detail, but Mandie and C are coming over tomorrow to get stuff out of basement. Chad is on flood duty, and calls everyday to check on mom, a little stressed he can't be here, I have Caitlan.
I have gotten calls from camping buddies, e-mails,notes, and I appreciate it! I just want to thank you all!! You are very understanding , you don't know how much that means to us here!!Gail, you were right, I don't like to disappoint people, so it does bother me. Pat thank you for the advice and being there, Kris, thanks for the call and notes , Bob, Norm and everyone else THANK YOU!! Hugs!!

Yes but they are flooding, and not sure what is going to happen there either. If someone wants to go there, I am all for them, but I am out of the rally this year. But thanks Carl

Des Moines flooded in 1993 - it was tragic.
Cleaning up is gut wrenching and time consuming, with no clean water, no power, and heat of July.

this is mandie...mom was admitted to the hospital today for a blood clot.. it is from her thigh to her ankle....I am stopping at her house to pick up some things she needs for her stay....They have put her on blood thinners and are currently giving her a cat scan...chad is with her now.....going back soon....prayers please...thanks...will keep you posted

Hey fritz,thank you...they say she is a diabetic now...giving her insulin shots to control that....and put her in isolation..her cat scan showed a lung contusion...so they tested her for tb,cancer,and bronchitus...Waiting for test results today...Bad situation all the way around...she is scared...but hanging in there...will keep you all posted when I can....Mandie

the hospital kicked chad and I out at 9 or 9:30pm last night...so we are gonna go at it again when visiting hours continue today...I don't remember the hospital phone number to her room...or I would give it out....chad might get activated for the flooding on the 21st...(hoping not)....again...... hoping and praying that all things are positive for mom....

this is mandie..im at moms taking care of the dogs before i go back up to the hospital...I will keep all posted when I can....they put her on high blood pressure pills this morning.....she is in good spirits... or at least trying...

.... they are gonna work on her lung contusion today...no results from tests back yet..hoping and praying that the tb and cancer tests come back negative.....HOPING!!! Many prayers needed...

I just came home from there...better news today...Her tb test came back negative...AMEN...She has fluctuations in her blood pressure and sugars still,but MUCH better than yesterday....She has good color,is eating much better....Just a update...

.... All things in a positive direction....
