What a day that was, and we haven't really started!
9 am Morning Walk - meet at Laundry
12 - Grayton Beach Brewery - meet at 217 Serenoa Road
1:15 Volunteer Project - Trail maintenance - Meet at Tram Station #2
4 pm - Registration @ Clubhouse
6 pm - Opening Night @ Clubhouse

Rain & Thunderstorms moving in around 2-3 pm. High winds are expected.

Musicians, singers, percussionists (aren't they musicians too?), please gather at 4pm at the Clubhouse. This will allow us to evaluate the best approach for our jam session. Also we'll see how much space and equipment we need!

I plan to bring my acoustic/electric guitar and my bass with amp. I will only play one at a time though. Microphones for vocals will also be provided.

• Chili, Soup, & Stew feed is still on for Friday at noon. Use a crockpot liner - we cannot do dishes at the clubhouse.
• Friday - 7 pm Beer & Wine plus light appetizers at Cabin #1078 Mike & Debbie Bianchi.
• Saturday 11 am Margaritaville & Cornhole Tournament, Clubhouse Parking lot. No Parking available, but can drop off. $2 registration fee - winners decided how to take home a set of Canopener Cornhole boards donated by Foley RV. Still need boards & scorekeepers
• Airstream Open House still on 2 -4 Saturday
• Karaoke Night 6 pm Saturday - late addition... Adult S'mores & Campfire.

Well - things are looking a little better this morning! But we're sticking to
Plan B.

• 9am - walk is on - meet at laundry. go when ready.
• 9 am please bring your Pop up Canopy to the Clubhouse - Tony Ohm will organize a group to zip tie them together to keep us out of the rain... for the...
• Chili, Stew & Soup Feed is ON at high noon. We have bowls, but bring your utensils & drinks. We've got seating inside, on the porch, and under canopies - if you bring your chair.
• Cornhole & Margaritaville moved to Saturday at 11 am.

SATURDAY

1. No organized hike
2. Breakfast with a Ranger, sponsored by SECU 8:30 & 9:15
3. 10:30 Ranger Walk - meet at Tram Station #2
4. 11 am clubhouse parking lot, Cornhole tournament, Margaritaville, Door Prizes. Bring a chair and enjoy the competition! $2 entrance fee per participant.
5. 2 - 4 Airstream Open House - check out open rigs...
6. 6 pm Karoke and Adult S'mores at the Amphitheatre. Next to Clubhouse. Bring your best singing voice, any leftover firewood, and sticks for roasting marshmallows - children of all ages welcome!

Well, the weather was amazing today - the rains did finally come, but we got in a great Feed. Thank you to all of the volunteers - from tents, set up, food, & clean up. What a GREAT Group of folks - and dogs!

Don't forget wine, beer, & apps at Cabin #1078 tonight at 7 pm - don't let the rain dampen our Canopener spirit!

Now that the rains have passed, we have a BIG day in store..

-Breakfast with a Ranger, sponsored by SECU 8:30 & 9:15 - reservations required.

-Ranger Walk - 10:30 meet at Tram Station #2

- Cornhole tournament, Margaritaville, Door Prizes. Registration starting at 11 am $2 entrance fee per participant. Clean out your fridge - bring some snacks to share -and enjoy the competition!

Carol and I will be leaving this morning to move on to Manatee Springs State Park, then Paynes Prarie State Park, and then back to Georgia via Lake Blakeshear Resort aka Georgia Veterans State Park.


We had a great time, thanks to all the organizers and participants. Lookin' forward to next year!

I hope someone will post here when the 2021 thread is started.

I just got my spot for the whole time, but it was tough! We were planning to come in on December 30 and stay 2 weeks (the max time allowed) but there was (and still is not) a single site available for the 30th. Two sites were shown as reserved on the 30th with "X" (not reserved) after that, but would not be available to book until 11 months (the 31st). Four sites were reserved 30/31 but "X" after Feb 1. These "not reserved" sites were not available to book yet because they were "not reserved" more than 11 months away. However, at 12:01 January 31 (just after midnight) the two sites changed from "X" to "<a" but when I tried to book, the error said try again after 8:00am. At 8:00 am, the site I tried to book had not changed from "<a" but when I tried to book it, it said inventory not available and had changed to "R" (reserved by someone else!). In a stroke of luck, I was able to click on the other site that I had seen and I was able to book it! So I am in 141 from the 31st to Monday the 11th. I am curious to see who booked the other site before my mouse could click it and will watch for the maps.
