boo hoo.....

I'm so glad to see everyone had so much fun at the rally!

We decided on Thursday that we just couldn't make it - it was too late to cancel our reservation - I've had a heck of a time getting my DSL to work so I haven't been able to report to the forum - I wish I could have posted to let someone know that they could use our site.

That entire weekend I kept thinking what perfect weather you guys were having. I really wish we could have been there. Moving into a fixer upper (I HATE CATS!) with two little kids has proven to be a challenge. We could have spared a night to camp, but our camper is a disaster and we couldn't spare the time to get her ready.

This summer is a far cry from last: we spent 15 weekends enjoying the great outdoors and our little Argosy. You are right, Jack. I think a weekend away would do us some good. Hopefully we will be able to swing it soon.

We missed you guys!

Sorry we missed you too. We could have used the site and unfortunately had to turn someone away who contacted me Thursday morning. Next year we will have to privately share some phone numbers so if we have a last minute cancellation, we can hopefully fill it with someone else. The park was completely sold out this year.

But I am curious, did you specifically pick your site or was it a random chance you got the site under the "evil tree" again?

Jack

A Fun Time At Moraine View 2005

As they say, "Better late than never" (just who are THEY anyway??)

It was a great time at our 3rd Midwest Rallye! It was so, so good to see some of the "charter members" again and of course meet the 1st timers. We loved the out door movies - with popped corn/ butter or lite. Gives a whole new meaning to "silver screen" . Ike would have enjoyed it more had he remembered to pack long pants but lucky we had down throws to help stave off frostbite!
The potluck was again a success, the company excellent, the children, and also our 4 legged members, well behaved as usual. I've always known campers to be nice people but these Streamers bring it to a whole different level.
Our thanks to our "fearless leader" Jack (and co-pilot Patty) for just the right amount of glue to hold things together and the sticker. Skeeto neeto!
To Zamboni for the 2005 numbers (we added them to the trailer on the sign, leaving the original 2004 and hope to add on each year.) And to Eric for bringing the equipment for movies - happiness to you and Brandi always + love you guys !!!!!

Thanks to everyone for making this another wonderful outing.

Sue

FYI to all, I haven't forgotten to post the pictures. We are having problems creating the folder to classify these into. Andy is looking into the problem so once we get past that, I'll post my pictures in the photo area.....see even moderators have problems too!

Regards,

Jack

Jack, if you INSIST on showing people how I mistreat my poor puppy by making her wear a Hawaiian skirt, you'll scare people away from signing up for our Rally!

So here's a TRUTHFUL disclaimer..

Dilly LIKES to dress up. I don't force her. She works with me in our antique shop and really hams it up for customers. She's been known to pose on, and SELL, antique furniture :-)
