How many propane detectors?

Just wondering if people have more than 1 propane detector in their airstreams. I currently have 1 towards the front near my furnace/stove, fridge area which all uses the propane. I was wondering if I should install another one in the rear near my water heater? My airstream is 23ft long.

How many propane detectors?

One, mounted down low is quite enough. Propane is heavier than air and a low-mounted detector will sense it properly. I only have one detector in my 22 footer. It’s mounted on the backside of the wheel well on the curbside aft.

Note that it does consume 12 volt power continuously and is a steady drain on your battery. More than one is pointless.

My carbon monoxide and smoke detector is mounted fairly high on the wall near the front bed area. Also only one is sufficient in a small Airstream.
