inline shut off gas valve necessary...

I think I have a leak from my back inline gas valve right before my water heater, is it necessary to have a gas shut off valve or can I just eliminate it. I have a 72 Safari. Thanks.

I'm going to bypass it...

Answer to my own question, is I am going to just bypass it, also because I hear that the new airstreams do not come with the inline shutoffs. Correct me if I am wrong, bueller? bueller?

inline shut off gas valve necessary...

The only inline shutoff valves I have on my 2007 are ones I installed. One is a cutoff before a quick disconnect fitting I added for my generator, and the other is a master shutoff for all propane coming from the regulator.

Generator connector and valve. Valve is used to shut down the generator. Champion does not shut off with ignition switch when running on propane. Using this valve letís the generator burn off the propane in the lines for safety.

Master shutoff installed just after the hose from the regulator. Makes it easy to quickly shut off all propane to Airstream appliances in case of a leak without trying to get to the cylinder valves inside the tank cover.
