Series 2 Victron Lithiums

Hi Folks!

Just got an update on new Victron products and one of the more interesting is their 'Smart' lithium battery. It has internal blue tooth monitoring capabilities as shown on a screen shot below.

I don't have any availability information on these yet, but will pass it along as I get it.

Larry,

You never know what types of updates the wizards at Victorian might come out with. I wouldn't be surprised if they develop a separate monitor add-on for existing lithiums that will mirror the 'Smart Lithium' products.

I will inquire the next time I converse with my Victron 'guru'.

The operating range for Victron lithium batteries -4ºF to +122ºF
The storage range is -49ºF to 158ºF

Victron lithium batteries should NOT BE CHARGED when their temperature at the battery is below 32ºF.

There is also no requirement to return them back to 100% charge like a lead acid battery.

Cool, I'm with Larry, love the bells and whistles, but big investment. Keep us posted on the after market upgrade for the "old" batteries!
