Kohler generator parts

Good afternoon everyone, can anyone tell me which carb kit part number or rebuild kit vendor I could use for my Kohler 7000 7CM21-RV carb? any information would help. Want to replace needle, seat and bowl gasket for my Kohler, thanks Bill.

Hi Bill, welcome to the forums!

Hey, you’re a Wisconsin guy, home of Kohler! They have an extensive service and parts site online. Here’s a page to search for repair parts:

Also, repair parts show up in a Google search.. You might have to match up the gasket in the photos but it seems like a pretty common carb.

Good luck with your rebuild!

BTW, we joined the Wisconsin-UP Airstream club last year - nice group of like minded folks if you’re interested.

Kohler 7CM21 Carb parts

Thank you for the information, I purchased this 1986 Air. 34.5 motorhome that's been sitting for several years hence the carb rebuild. Hope to get it running soon. Next will be airbag replacement which looks like a challenge. Forum has been a great resource!! Bill.
Tried to google the model number and serial number on the 7CM21-RV GEN and seems there are several kits with different needle and seat. Also tried Kohler look up and this model is not in the system. Any thoughts? thanks Bill.

Is this what you're looking for?

https://www.kohler-engine-parts.opee...oducts_id=1688

Kohler Part # 2575702S Carburetor Repair Kit

If it is, use the rebuild kit part number to find one. I'm not recommending this seller (just the first one I found), and see it being sold all over the internet including on Amazon.

Thank you Richard, yes I saw that part number and did order this kit however the seat was shaped differently than the original which is tapered on the end compared to the new part which is flat. I googled it using the "Kohler 7CM21-RV" search and this is what I found also. I want to be sure I have the right part. Kind regards Bill.

Sometimes they update the design of these things as the years go on, and sometimes they just make a more universal kit that works with multiple models but looks like none of the original parts.

Guess you'll know when it arrives. At least it's not an expense experiment. As long as the fuel flow stops it should work.

The Smokstak site has a Kohler forum that is probably worth a look, https://www.smokstak.com/forum/forum...r-engines.240/

Thank you gentlemen, I did install this kit and the seat was different however the generator seems to run great so anyone else who buys this kit can know this does work as a replacement.
