Where are we putting them again? I'm thinking the back window is the best??
I'm thinking and this could be dangerous!

I'm in. A great forum, and I agree, it has saved me money. (Of ourse, some forum ideas have prompted me to spend even more money, but what-the-hey.)

Robin, I have one centered low on the back window of the trailer, and the picture you see today on the ad is my trailer with the sticker on the small fixed glass window to the right of the door. I also have on on my van on the side window near the rear. So if you are following me on the road you see it, and when you come visit me in the campground you see it.

AIR Stickers
You guys are awesome! If I get more than one sticker I'll post mine on the back and the side, I like that idea.

I'll send mine in as well. AndyR, do you think the larger avatars will slow the site down for us dialup guys?
Thanks - Pat.

No the larger avatars will not slow the site down very much. Just so you know I am also thinking about making a "light" interface for members that have donated that would have nearly zero images and be really fast for dial up. Great for boondockers on Verizon wireless cards...

This is a great forum - no doubts on that. And all the cudos have been expressed time and time again to all that have worked so hard.
It has been a free forum - no doubts on that. In keeping with the intent of the "Internet"
However a few comments - which I take pride in speaking my peace. And enjoy at times people jumping all over me for having the "stuff" to express some of the opinions - so here goes....
Stickers
"Air" what is that? and why settle for just "Air"
Donation
It is not a donation - this is not a charity forum - it is a profit making internet business. Breakeven is the same as profit - they are called right offs and Andy is in the business of Internet media.
It is not much - just 1/3rd the cost of the WBCCI membership which ohhhh so many say is too much.
Enhancements:
possibly inadvertantly - this forum has just created "classes" those who "donate" and those who do not "donate" purely identified by the size of the avatar - the shinnier rivets and the "robust" size of posted photos.
"American Enterprise" what a beautiful thing.....
For those who may feel the same way but do not like to "make waves" I understand how you may feel - as now you would probably like to receese back into the world of lurking - remove the rivets and avatar - so that people will not know if you have donated or not.
And last comment.....
The freedom of choice...."automatic" "Donation" "Renewal" - come on that has been outlawed in so many places of business up here it is not funny. Why Ma Bell and her creative Marketers - used to pull that one and made millions on unsuspecting customers......The consumer should always have the right to renew - not the right to cancel.
Food for thought - and certainly not meant to rain on all you excited members waiting on your "Air"
Does selling ice to the Eskimos come to mind to anyone????

You are right too many people complain about the yearly fees of the WBCCI, but have you tried to become a member to the WBCCI without paying?? I tried and they didn´t take me... So you have to pay to become a member there, which you don´t have to do here at the Forums!

That´s how it sometimes goes - give a little - take a little. But I can´t tell the difference between the Class A and Class B Members (if you want to see them as Class A and Class B) and I don´t think that most others do... The Avatar -Yes, but the Rivets - No... and can we really post larger pics?? Didn´t realise that...
IMO we are all the same and it is just a little Thank You from Andi to those who supported his work with a little money! The Forums are a big bunsh of work and Andi only gets money from the google ads as far as I can see it, so $20,- Bucks is ok for me...

This indeed is a very good point, but I hope that we´ll get a reminder, so that we can then decide if we want to be enhanced for another year or not...

Every good salesman will sale a "fridge to an eskimo", but that might say more about the "eskimo" than about the salesman...
To be political correct: You can replace eskimo by anything that comes into your mind... (e.g. sell milk to a cow, sand to a dune etc. etc)
That´s just my 02.c ...

will swap...
Any chance we could get the kind of sticker that's printed on the plastic clingy stuff that you put inside the window and comes off real easy when you want it to, instead of the kind that has to be scraped off with razor blades and toxic chemicals? I don't usually put stickers on my vehicles, unless they're the clingy kind. I would be willing to trade some enhancement or shiny rivets for this sticker alternative.

You know that was something that I thought about when I was making up some test decals last year for my own use. At this point we have a fairly decent supply of the traditional decals, but if we get to a need to order more, I'll ask the company who did ours to come up with a cost to do them this way.
One of the reasons I didn't pursue it was the fact that the newer trailers and tow vehicles have tinted glass. Even with the white lettering, the tinting would have taken some visual punch out of the symbol. Now those of you with clear glass, the inside mounting wouldn't have impacted the decal.
Secondly there are some really good products out on the market now for safely removing things that have an adhesive backing. One product that I use it home called Disolve-It that will easily disolve the backing of a sticker without harming the surface it is mounted on. So its not the chore it used to be to remove an old decal.
For us the key to get a good price is volume, so I'll keep this in mind and in the future we will do an informal poll as to who wants a static cling decal. Then if the interest is there and Andy agrees, we may be able to do a combo order that would give us a break on the price.
Regards,
Jack

Bjorn (Pschoerrn) -- I agree with where you're going with this. These forums don't "cost" us anything to participate to a significant degree. It is purely up to the individual. After that it becomes similar to our participation in public radio and public television over here. Those latter organizations must actually make an income for employees. I consider AndyR to be in this category -- and appreciate fully the free exchange of nonpolitical, nonjudgemental and useful information here. My participation & contribution is a "free will" matter, to which I am only too glad to contribute!
FWIW, almost all sticker adhesive can be removed without damage to any underlying plastics if you rub it with a little cooking oil under your finger tips. Might I suggest that this doesn't require the extra virgin type!

Just to clear things up, there is no auto renew option with the upgrades. After the year is up, you may choose to stay in the Bourgeoisie or not...
