Spoon

Barry, you might want to reach out to Bob B. or a local heating and cooling company/expert and inquiry about ventilation. Too bad I have been retired a few years otherwise I could have asked some of the GM Equipment Exhaust Ventilation Experts. I just might need to take a drive next week to check this out in person.
Looking Good!

A Cloud named 'Spoon'

So I did an experiment . I taped off the duct if you will, with cardboard and left the top where the vent will
be,open. Turned on AC , just the fan,to see what kind of volume of air I have. Standing at the front on low I could feel it, medium
more, high was enough to move my remaining hair. Solved ongoing thoughts about needing extra fans to keep air moving. I kind of figured that. It’s a 6000 BTU unit good for 350-400 sq ft. The trailer is about 140 sq ft(7x20 cabin)

Barry, thanks for the update. That is reassuring for me in regard to my plan, and makes me think I can skip some ducting.

Very happy it worked out well.

So it cold enough to spend a little time on Spoon. Finally got the wall roughed in. Still need to enlarge the opening a little and come up with some type of grills. The flat part of the wall ( center 20” or so)will all be mirror. From just above the intake vent (at floor) to just below the AC vent at ceiling.[ATTACH]301979

So today is the first day above freezing since last year. Even with 3” of fresh snow it was great to get the old 8N out and clear the driveway. Afterwards it was time to clean the inside of Spoon of all the crap that has ended up in there while working on the AC. With that done I began to build the night stands that will be on either side of the bed. First bit of framing done, so thought I’d post a quick pic. Time to start getting ready for our Florida trip, so won’t be doing much more for now.Click image for larger version

So many sleeps, trips, and life since I have worked on Spoon. Sold a trailer completely redid a frame on rebuild of a 54 Globetrotter and now , I am back on it. Finished up the divider for the bedroom and have the AC finished , now I am contemplating the cabinets. Click image for larger version

Still plugging away. A new great granddaughter, wife’s knee replacement and some late fall camping is slowing me down. That said finally starting to run propane lines, preliminary door fitting, and working on last lower cabinet. Here is a pic of the cool old 50’s Meynell two burner stove rebuild.[ATTACH]356471

Very cool stove. That is a great find and will be a great addition.

Looking at your cabinets, what did you use for the radius corners? This has been an issue racking my brain. I have about three potential solutions, but not sure which way to go.

Great! I have been looking at that site previously as an option. Nice to have a validation.

Finally have all the propane lines ran, tested and lit. Set the cabinets in place, cut out the sink and opening for the stove top. These pics are for reminders of were we ultimately came from. Because tomorrow is Thanksgiving day, I wish you all safety, and great times with your loved ones.[ATTACH]356904
