Regulator

I recently piped in a duel fuel generator worked great for two trips last weekend would not run off of f propane auxiliary port as it has in the past. Worked fine on gasoline. Hooked up my grill to same port as usual I lite grill and then checked stove inside very low flame. Thoughts.

Low propane level?

Bad regulator or transfer switch?

Hose issue under the AS?

Hose leak? They do go bad but hope they last longer than 3 years. Any smell?

No smell. Transfer switch? Is it part of the regulator / tank switch over ?

Do you have dual propane tanks? The transfer switch sits between then and is used to switch to a full tank.

Ok. I’m going to be real low tech. I had the same problem. I took off the connector and found there was a rock that got lodged in it when I forgot to put back the cap. Might want to take the end piece off and just check for any obstruction.

But first make sure your tank is full

I have a dual fuel Champion generator. It worked fine with propane for two months. Sat idle for a couple of months, then wouldn’t start on propane. Started on gas just fine. I’m thinking my regulator is damaged. Any thoughts.

Anything is possible. Did the regulator get damaged?

Which regulator are you using?

Double check you did t run out of propane and double check the starting procedure your using since you have not used it for two months... [emoji3]

Turns out it was a damaged regulator. Champion replaced under warranty. Have since purchased backup regulator for redundancy as well as backup battery. Very happy with Champion service.

I had similar problem until I realized that I had to take off the regulator hooked to the grill and bought a long propane hose and hooked to the grill. Solved it.
