lpg regulator replacement

Last night it went down to 37 degrees, ran the gas heater most of the night till it appeared we ran out of gas , then switched to the AC / roof top heat exchanger. In the morning I discovered we had about 1/2 tank in one cylinder and a full tank in the other. Manually changed tanks (switch valve on top of regulator) and the gas heater worked fine. This is the second time this has happened and I think I need to replace the original 2005 LPG regulator. Looking to suggestions for the a reliable automatic switchover regulator for two 30 lb tanks, Thanks

I have never really trusted the auto switch over regulators. I usually just push the lever to the tank I want it to use and don't really expect it to change over. Best way to tell if a tank is full is to loosen the restraints and physically pick it up or use a fish scale to measure the weight. You can also just valve off the tank that you are not using and manually switch if over when the first tank gets low. Not sure which brand is better. I bought a new one from Rural King (Redneck Walmart). You can also get them on Amazon.

My regulator started having similar problems.
I replaced the regulator on my Exella in 2015. I used a Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253H. It was an exact replacement for the existing regulator. I liked it so much that I purchased another for my Safari. (still in the box waiting for the old one to go bad)
When I replaced the regulator I also replaced the rubber hoses. I found MB Sturgis hoses were made in USA (and also had great prices).
