Camping World in El Paso refused to fill mine even though I had a re certification label on it. They said it had rust on the bottom.

I just had Pilot almost refuse to fill my tanks as there were no numbers on the collar of the tank but there were numbers on the valve protector. They used them. Their location guide did not have that location listed.

I just picked up a Champion 3400 watt dual fuel generator. My intent is to run it off the propane port on the front of the trailer.

I’ve noticed the lids pop off when going from a low altitude to a higher one, other than that they are great.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Try putting a tiny pinhole in the lid to vent pressure, but not so large that bugs can get inside?

Interesting. In Colorado I haven’t seen this. Maybe because we start at a mile high elevation. going up to 8000-10000 hasn’t popped the lids.

Are you sure the low pressure port can supply the necessary flow of propane for that large of a gen? Some require that you feed directly from one of the OEM tanks, I believe.

Have a great Thanksgiving.

Spot trace 50% off for those wanting to protect their AS with GPS tracking

This is a great deal in the hardware. You still have to pay $99 per year or $10 per month for monitoring.

Happy thanksgiving!!![emoji884][emoji260]

It's been tested by others. It is necessary to remove the smaller 'high pressure' regulator from the adapter, and use a hose on the input port of the bigger 'low pressure' regulator to connect to the low pressure port on the Airstream. I took the precaution of going from the usual 1/4 inch quick disconnect fittings to 3/8 inc disconnects to prevent low propane flow and fuel starvation. Standard big box home center parts were available to adapt to the various bits and pieces I added. Search forums for details...see the "Which Generator" thread (IIRC)

DO NOT change out or modify the short black hose that connects the low pressure regulator to the port on the generator--that is most probably tuned for proper operation.

As I'll be enjoying unseasonal Rocky Mountain temps around 60 degrees at my 6400 foot elevation tomorrow, I'll be getting my trailer the gift of love...get her out of storage for a thorough wash and fresh fall coat of Glaze polish--while I bemoan not getting off my behind and down to southern Utah for a few days.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow Airstreamers...we all have at least one thing in common to be thankful for! Not to mention all the great knowledge and advice is a gift I'm thankful for as well!

A route plan to get Rocinante (and us!) back home again by mid-December.

Two 1/4” dowels to put in the upper cabinet door tracks. They like to self open and spill their contents apparently.

Well. That didn’t work. The dowels bounced out of the track and then the doors opened anyway. A new friend made at the Terraport today gave us some ‘Blue Sticky Stuff’ that I think will work like a champ.

Love the photo. I think I'll print it and tape it to the dash board...

It 'looks' like the AS being towed backwards. The photoshop artist goofed.

Just bought a new F 250 Platinum to pull our newly ordered Globetrotter. The old Ram is sold and 19' Serenity is for sale. Very excited for early March delivery.
