Some months ago I shared that I had gotten plank flooring, commode and sofa, well finally they are all installed! It took me three different tries with different material to trim the floor. I settled on flexible quarter round that I could mold to the odd application of my cabinets and walls.

Nice floor and couch.

Did you install the floor yourself?

What size is the quarter round. How much of a gap did you leave?

What did you get for your Trailer today?

It was all DIY on the floor. The couch is Villa International. The model of sofa is the 2007 Airstream Classic template. They customized the front as I wanted straight across instead of the curved front. The bolsters are OEM. Technically it is an Airstream designed couch since 2007 and used through 2014 I believe. They also designed the power recline model they use now. I needed a bed and storage so I had to go with the non reclining. The sofa is new. I used 1/2" quarter round everywhere but at the nightstand and at the commode step where gaps were different. There I used 3/4". That trim is amazing and a heat gun is needed as is paint, adhesive and vinyl caulk. The plank I used is advertised as having the least expansion/contraction available as it is made of pvc and fiberglass. Most places I still allowed for 1/4" and other places have none. It is waterproof and has 22 mil wear. The floor color and grain actually matches better than original IMO.

Yes, great improvements. Give us some details. What floor did you lay. Did you remove the kitchen cabinets prior to laying? Was the furnace moved? What is the dinette area like now?

Thanks

Kelvin

What did you get for your Trailer today?

Removed all the seating and cabinets, moved the heater forward about 2'. Removed all cabinets toilet etc.and layed Shaw forte flooring. No organic material in it and virtually no expansion problems. All cabinets attach to walls so I didn't have to worry about expansion - contraction anyway. I did leave a small space anywhere it butted up to solid walls and calked the small gap with flexible calk. We have a recliner loveseat across the back.Click image for larger version

New countertops ,LG HI-macs in Mesa granite color. I had the counter tops mounted to 1" plywood. Changed to a New faucet. Changed the RV queen to a regular size pillow top queen and Ready to go! The picture with the loveseat is with the previous laminate countertops.

Conversion was completed today and it only took two trips to the hardware store. Runs and smells great (compared to gas). Hardest part was drilling holes in a brand new generator. That took some quality time in the thinking chair. I like having the option to still use gas if I run out of propane. Click image for larger version

Almost finished. Three days of hard work, but our "Lumi" will soon have a new parking spot. 14x30 concrete parking pad 12' height. Center post wide enough for awning to open between them.
