Well mr PJohnson,
How long have you had an Airstream?
How many have you owned?

$10k for a caulk job and an AC unseal job is a more money than sense affair. You should have gotten a second opinion....
So you also incurred the cost of a round trip to the factory as well? Didnt you think to bri g it back since it still leaked? Im pretending to be smart in this idea.
lets talk about being smarter.!

Please consider my original post. I just wanted you to know that the local dealership will rip you off. The charges will just keep adding up once they have rendered your Airstream inoperable.

I will not be following this thread any further since it has been taken over by an arrogant individual who finds it necessary to put other people down.

I agree, $10k seems way too high. I seem to recall several folks having this done recently from reputable dealers for $2k or so.
Not all dealers are created equal. Some do well, my local dealer is not one and won’t ever get $1 of my money......

PJohnson,
Thank you for the advice. We were actually quoted a price of $2K for the sealant. But our roof is not leaking, they just recommended it as a maintenance issue. We called another place, this guy who works on Airstreams, and he quoted us about $600. So I'm just a bit surprised about the big difference in price.

Anyway, sorry to hear you had such rotten luck with this dealer. 10K is a lot of money to waste!
