Can you convert the window style?

My girlfriend and I have been working on our newly purchased 76 Airstream Argosy(28 ft). Both sliding windows in the kitchen area and one sliding window in the bedroom is busted. They're all the same size, I believe around 30' in width. We're living out of it while we are renovating it and we are trying to prepare for monsoon season by fixing these ASAP!

I am not a fan of these sliding windows, I love the more modern raising windows(not sure what they're called). I thought it was be easier to work with since my budget can only afford plexiglass. Is it possible to convert these sliding windows? I found a lot of the parts on vintagetrailersupply.com but was wondering if anyone has done this before. Asking for a friend
