Zeiss Ikon deadbolt

We just purchased a 74 sovereign. I'm still assessing the wisdom of the transaction, listing the wonderful effects of at least a decade of neglect. One revelation is that the phrase "Vista View" does not capture my imagination the way it once did. But the thing that caught my eye immediately was the deadbolt. We had some evidence of a previously sprung door on our Argosy, so I've been looking hard at methods of securing the door. So take a look at the pictures. That is a cruciform key, one I've never seen before. Has anyone seen this? It looks extremely well made, but I am reluctant to go to the locksmith and find out what a spare key would cost.

I'm focusing on the positive by beholding this technological marvel. It detracts from the gaping holes where once was sound subfloor.

I had that deadbolt in my Argosy. CanAmRV installed it; like you said, it's very low profile. Finding the keys is a pain though.

Here is the US supplier for those deadbolts.

The key you need is sold through MBA USA locksmith supplies as well, a Borkey 545 IIRC. (I can't find that specific key listed on their website anymore, but I have ordered spare keys from them in the past.)

The key itself isn't that expensive, around $4, but you need to get the one with the precise profile. A local shop was able to cut it for me.
