Gene, why is gas so much cheaper in your neck of the woods? That's roughly 50 cents less than what we pay here. That's a big difference--almost 20%. is everybody distilling the stuff in their backyard?

Today's diesel price at one of the less expensive places was $4.00 per gallon in Atlanta. Going to be a tad expensive to go the distance this summer.

I think the refineries here are producing more than can be shipped elsewhere and that depresses prices. I hope no new pipelines are built, but I think one is planned and that will increase prices here.

The same thing used to exist for natural gas—not enough pipeline capacity, but one was built and prices went up.

In the meantime, we are moderately happy.
