Just to say Hello! from a new member
Hello all,
We have an "older" airstream and actually enjoy the old girl.
I couldn't even list her correctly during my membership application, since the model was not included in the drop down menu!
She is a 1977 - 25 foot Land Yacht. Shower stall and sink at the rear, double bed on the starboard side, hanging lockers and chest of drawers oppostie.
I must have at least 10 questions to ask, but I will make a big effort to refrain my self to just one question at a time.
For the moment however, here is wishing every one a happy camping season, from my home base here in Burnaby, B.C. Canada

I have a 78 Argosy that sounds a lot like the Airstream you have. Love this trailer, BUT I don't consider him old, just seasoned and broken in well. Welcome to our world.

Welcome to the forums!
Dont worry about question overload, that is why the forums are here. On that note, make use of the search button, it is quite likely that most if not all of your questions have been asked by others. The archives are one heck of a good resourse. If you get a chance, post some pictures of your coach, we can help with this if you have problems.

Welcome to the forums from North Vancouver! I've a 1973 25' Tradewind, which is probably very similar to your unit.

Hi Lenn--I'm getting "older"--your Airstream is "vintage", just like good wine, gets better with time. Anybody can buy a new bottle of wine, but to have a vintage '77 A/S, now that's something. Our sleeping arrangement is the same as yours, which we really enjoy, as we have plenty of room during the day, with both beds turned into couches.
The serial number is the key to determine what A/S you have. Yours should probably read: L 25 D 7 J xxxx. L is Land Yacht (I or 1 International & E Excella). 25 is the length in feet. D is rear bath double bed. 7 is made in 1977. J is made in Jackson Center Ohio (S is California). Four places in serial number means made in the 1970's (three places in the 1960's).
You live in a part of the world that has many beautiful and interesting places to visit in your A/S. Make the most of it.--Frank S
