Howdy from SC

Hi ya'll. Just wanted to introduce myself.

My wife & I live in Charleston, SC and we just acquired a 1960/61(not sure yet) Ambassador International Land Yacht. It's uninhabitable right now. Looks like a large commune of squirrels have been living in it for the last few years. My goal though is to try and get it back to where it needs to be.

I don't know the first thing about Airstreams, so I'm glad I found this community. I'm a member of other forums (different topics), so it's good to see one devoted to Airstreams.

Looks like there's an abundance of expertise on here so I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can.

Thanks in advance!

Mmmmmm, South Carolina-----one of our favorite states.

I think you are over near Charleston, correct?

Edisto beach is close to you, and a delightful place to camp.

Welcome.

Hello and Welcome. Our children live in Mt. Pleasant. We park our AS at the KOA on Route 17 when we visit. Our favorite place to camp is Hunting Island State Park. Good Luck.

I live in Summerville. I have owned a 2007 Safari SE FB 27' for over a year. I have had to do some work on it so I have learned a lot in the last year. So let me know if I can help.

Good luck with your restoration.

Henry

Yep, you're in the right place for all things Airstream. There is a very active and friendly bunch of low country streamers down your way. Look up the Coastal Unit of the WBCCI.

Good luck with your resto.

It is always good to see Carolinians here on the forums.

Thanks everyone.

One thing I've learned so far...........I've got a lot to learn.

Looking forward to it though.

Looks like I'm going to need to gut the entire thing and replace the subfloor. Yipee!

But it looks like I'm in capable hands. I'll prolly start mid January or so. SO be prepared for lots of questions.
