Hi everyone.. I just found this forum a few days ago doing a search for a part and got invited to tell a little about us. So here's our story.

We've owned a 32 excella for a yr and half now. It's about a 1988 or so. We did not intend to purchase one since we thought we wanted a big ol' motorhome with all the slides etc.. Since we never camped in our entire life we decided we should rent one. That's when we went into shock when we heard the rental price. A few days later my husband started looking at preowned trailers thinking we could buy one for less than a few rentals. And that's what happened. Now I love the airstream.....and have no desire for anything else. At least not for now.

We also have a dog and really got tired of hunting house sitters for when we left.. and I hated leaving those sad big ol' brown eyes .. Now I don't have to.

We love the state parks and disney's ft wilderness. Oh, we've also been to one corps of engineer park on lake allatoona. That's really the environment we love. In April we were surrounded by vintage airstreams at an rv park in nashville. The owners were like typical campers.. very friendly and the trailers were so cool and soooo shiney!!

Congratulations! I live in my 34’ 1983 Excella-big step up from the 24’ 1967. I am completely hooked, nothing else will do. My brother has a 1984 32’ Excella that he bought after seeing my 67. He was working in Hickory, North Carolina and I was doing an art show in Charlotte. Apparently the madness is contagious and can run in families.

Welcome to this wonderful place to meet other campers and lots of nice folks. Larry and I are in LaGrange, which is se of you in Lorain Co. Some of us are getting together for a small informal forums rally on July 20-22 at Findley State Park. This will just be a very laid back camping weekend. We usually have lots of fun around the campfire, and a nice potluck on Sat. You are welcome to join us if you have the time. We would love to meet you and get to see your "new" AS!

Thanks for the big welcome everyone!! This is an awesome forum and looks like it's quite active. I did see the info on the rally and mentioned it to my husband. We're pretty much tied up as far as getting away the whole weekend but i'm hoping to maybe be able to just drive over and meet everyone! Since you guys like pics, I'll be posting some soon when i have a couple minutes to figure out than procedure!! Thanks again for the welcome!!

Hey Lake lady welcome!! You are going to love meeting Lou (loudruff) she is such a sweet person!! If you like lakes you are gonna love camping in Michigan, we've got some nice ones!!

We should let you know that we also cross the "border" and head into MI for their rallies. There is one coming up in Aug. Some of the rest of the Ohioans as well as Larry and I are going to go up to theirs! We have been to four of them and had a blast! This one will be at Grass Lake which is not too far north. We were there last year. You can read the thread called Metro-Detroit Rally 2007 and get the details. Fun reading.but lots of pages.... Here is the link:
