Newbie - still learning

Hi Everyone, We are new to internet forums and not sure how everything works, so here goes. We restored a 1950 GMC Suburban on a 1982 Suburban chassis (6.2 Diesel) about a year ago and is my daily driver. We finished our trailer, a 1974 26' Argosy, "Twinkie", last December and have enjoyed camping as much as we can. We are in the Seattle area and have traveled to Oregon, Eastern Washington and are planning to be at the Mt. Baker Rally in August. We're headed east in September for 5-6 weeks and are looking for things to do and any rallies to attend. Any info would be helpful. Thanks to all.

Welcome to the forums! Would like to hear more about the conversion of the old Suburban to the 80's chassis. Pictures are always appreciated here.

Great matching paint jobs in your picture. Just super. The 4CU unit is having a rally at the Balloon festival in Alb, NM, the first week of Oct. Great group to rally with. Also, next summer, the WBCCI International rally will be in Bozeman, MT, the end of June.

Hi 74"twinkie",
If you get to Pa or NJ, there is an Airstream only park in each state. I believe the NJ park is called Jersey Haven and is located in Dennisville, NJ which is very close to the famous south Jersey shore are - Atlantic City, Ocean City, Wildwood and Cape May (do a search here for Jersey Haven to get some info). Septemeber is probably the best month of the season to be there as the kids are in school, water is the warmest and the crowds are non existent . The other park in PA may be called Pennswoods. I just can't recall the name - anyone else want to jump in here???
Anyway, have a great trip!

Hi Bob; Since you had interest in my tow vehicle, here are some attached pics. I used everything I could from the 82' donor. I'm still learning this site and have posted pics of our trailer in my Photo Gallery.

Wow, great Suburban! If you travel thru Tennessee, stop by the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground; located in Crossville, TN, about 1 hr north of Chattanooga, and 1.5 hrs SW of Knoxville. This is an absolutely delightful Airstream-only campground. See: Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground
Safe travels!

Here's a couple of driveway shots and one at 6100 feet, near the top of Chinook pass in Washington (my favorite so far).
