I think your plan is VERY sound - get the running gear safe - get some cushions to sleep on - fix the plumbing (not a big expense - more time than money) and enjoy it this summer - when the summer is over, decide your project for next year and keep at it - it will get done. As you get into applieances/fixtures it does get pricey - but again pace it out and enjoy it.

Let us know what you find as you use it, you can learn how to fix it here - ask away with questions..

I agree. Some of us Streamers are on fixed incomes and have to work with what we have. Enjoy the experience. Rome wasnt built in a day. e cant all have a "perfect" Airstream. That keeps it interesting.

You can have plenty of fun even when it is mostly an aluminum roof over your head. When I had mine boondocking up at the ranch with no hookups, I accidently ran the battery down and then ran out of propane to boot. I still stayed the whole weekend and used my back up camping gear; lantern, propane cannister stove, cooler and warm clothes. Had a great time....
Glad to hear you are keeping the trailer, take your time getting it up to speed.

Thanks folks!

And reply as much as you'd like - feels good to have nice people truly discussing things instead of just arguing like the politicians.

This site and you folks are great!
