Airstreamers in the Southeastern region of the U.S.will rally together once again during the month of March in the beautiful campground at Georgia Mountain Fairground in Hiawassee, Georgia. The folks at the Fairgrounds have graciously agreed to let us make reservations NOW, rather than wait for January 1. To do so, mention the AIRSTREAM EVENT when calling.

As always, rally events include a Friday icebreaker, Saturday morning brunch, a Saturday afternoon Tour of Trailers, Saturday evening potluck, after dinner entertainment, and campfires!. We will add a few additional items to the schedule.

Ron (PizzaChop)

Matt (mbmbstreamer)

Lynnetta (SomeDay 59)

Bill (247Stream)

Mike (MikeSE)

Wow, signed up with campground today and all the waterside spots in B & C are already reserved except B-1!!!

I'm amazed so many have already jumped on this "early bird special" as the campground won't let the rest of the world make reservations for March until January. We are being treated special with a discounted nightly rate and the password to early reservations is, "I'm with the Airstream group on St. Patrick's Day."

Glad we are picking up steam. It helps to know how many are coming.

Plan on a great weekend, in a beautiful setting! More soon.

Just signed up for site D-9. They say it's a "backwards" site, with the hookups on the wrong side, but that's cool. Instead of backing in with my Interstate, I'll just pull straight in and back out when I leave.

Arriving March 15th, departing March 19th. I'm a definite, and so is my cat Sylvia. I may be bringing a lady friend, but that's not definite.

Sue, Cheryl and I plan to be there Friday and Saturday, going home Sunday. We have F5 booked.

Incidentally, I noticed that this rally is not in the AirForums calendar of rallies. I planned to RSVP there, but no rally is shown for that weekend.

Responses here and on the Facebook Event indicate we have 21 rigs headed to Hiawassee. It isn’t too late to invite friends!

Slight change:

Instead of "Doyle (Protagonist)" it's now "Doyle (Protagonist) and Renee."

Mountain Air 2018

I had a hard time finding this thread...not too many posts here.

For the Saturday (St Patty's Day!) pot luck dinner, I wanted to put out a thought: how many corned beef and potatoes dishes will be brought? What other dishes would be appropriate? How can we coordinate at least a bit to avoid too much duplication (without too much formality)?

As a group, we have been pretty well diversified with dishes shared with the group, but I was afraid that the St Patty's Day focus may skew the curve (so to speak).

Matt or Ron, as you may not be aware, this Rally is not on the AirForums calendar (which is one reason why I had to fish around a bit to get to this thread).
