Are you saying that your Airstream's paperwork briefcase, which includes the owner's manual for the trailer, did not have a copy of the Dometic manual linked in Post #2?

There should have been one such manual for each appliance in the trailer, so you might want to call your dealer to fill in the missing ones.

Your DVD player is a Samsung blue ray player - just turn it on using the button on the front (or remote) and put your tv input to hdmi. Play, pause, FF, etc. via the remote.

Or kicks on first for a few minutes and then the heat kicks in. Works the opposite and shutting down
