If you MAL's want your vote to count!

If you are a "MAL" and care one way or the other, you need to contact Star Grover about moving your membership over to the WDCU. After the voting, if you wish to go back to a "MAL" status thats fine! You can always move your membership back to being a MAL. I will say you will save 14 bucks next year by staying with us. But that's your choice. Here's a link to our website.

Airstream club vintage trailer WDCU WBCCI region 2 Unit 170

In the WDCU, we cast the votes as they are casted at the unit level and let the chips fall as they may. We "DO NOT" cast all votes one way or the other. This way it truly is "1M1V" in our unit. Hope to hear from ya soon! Plus, we just got our really cool "black flag, capital in white and Washington DC Unit in red" approved at the IBT. Thank You Barry our Region 2 Prez and Don the Region 1stVP for the help!!

And don't forget the all important and extremely popular "you don't have to be present at the meeting to vote" policy of the WDCU.

Gosh, Wally, I sure do wish my unit had that voting benefit.

I have taken Jim Franklin's directive to heart and have joined another RV club. Howerver, I would still like to associate with Airstreamers.

I wish there was a designation for a UAL opposite the MAL. That is Unit At Large where I could only belong to the unit and not the International. I would like all of my dues to go to the unit and none to International. The BB is a waste of paper and I don't really want to subsidize the International Rally. So I am spending $65 a year to belong to the unit.

I will never wear a beret and I don't care about ceremonies and pomp. ( I do wear apparel with Airstream logo's - ball caps, etc.) All I want to do is go camping with Airstreamers.

Since our dues are paid, this will probably be my last year in the WBCCI. I'm in my mid-fifties. The leadership thinking of the WBCCI is not that of my dad's generation but that of my grandfathers generation. It is the old sedentary thinking that I have an issue with not the age of the members. We have many older members in our unit who don't have old thinking. Letting SOB's in with an IBT unanimous vote is just too much.

Jim Franklin is right, it is their club; if we don't like it we should go elsewhere. As someone stated earlier, I think that it is time to start a new Airstream Travel Club. I would join. WBCCI started with only 20 to 30 like minded people. Look at the 4CU group. Maybe they would join and the first unit would be formed. With internet communication it should be easier to start a club than it was 50 years ago.

All you need is a name without the word Airstream in it and we're set.
