Coach-Net about to expire shortly - any recommendations for roadside assistance?

What do you all use when the complimentary roadside assistance expires? Is it worth continuing with Coach-Net or moving to Good Sam or who else?

My insurance (Allied) offers roadside service as part of the policy.

Coach Net will also cover your boat or utility trailer if you have one, most others will not.

For our Airstream TT, we just added additional coverage to our AAA membership. We've only had to use it once (tread separation in the boonies 1000 miles from home) and they were great. Fast response, and really understood RV's.

We have AAA and now complimentary Coach Net. Had CN with our motorhome and we have one incident and they were good to work with. Expensive for a motorhome however.

Coach-Net about to expire shortly - any recommendations for roadside assistance?

I had the Allstate roadside from AARP for my car, but dropped it and continued with Coach-Net as they also cover my car on one policy. I've used all three roadside services so far in the past two years. Had my Prius towed by AARP/Allstate due to dead traction battery. Had my Sprinter towed back to dealer by Mercedes due to file leak after fuel filter change by dealer's mechanics. Had a tire changed on the Sprinter at a rest area in Arkansas on trip last spring courtesy of Coach-Net.

They were all similar services and I had to wait several hours each time. The worst service was from AARP/Allstate since I had to call them back several times to actually get them to put me in the cue to get a tow. The delay from Coach-Net was due to our location in a rural area 30-40 miles east of Little Rock at a rest area off the Interstate. The delay from Mercedes was to get a flatbed low enough to get under bridges in rush hour traffic around Baltimore. Patience is the best advice I can offer.

We had AAA for 25 years, but moved to Good Sam this past year, primarily due to a significant premium cost reduction (at least 50%) . So far only one call the Good Sam. Very responsive and helpful, but the guy and his pickup looked like he was recruited for the call down the block. It was for a dead battery and we end up having to use my cables to get me going to the local Firestone shop. When AAA showed up a few years ago for the same call, they requested the details of my vehicle and showed up with three different batteries to select from. I don't plan to change plans (yet), but i guess there is something to be said about "you get what you pay for".

I seem to have to re-learn that lesson at least once a year.

We have AAA with RV Plus coverage. Broke down 40 miles North of Tucson this past Monday, they towed our F150 and the Airstream to the tow yard, then towed the F150 to the Ford dealership in Tucson the next day. No Charge!

Thank you all for your comments. So in general it seems there's not much between them apart from cost!

Good Sam has a very good roadside assist program. A reasonable annual fee gets you covered for all your vehicles including motorcycles. I had a breakdown on an almost new Triglide and they dispatched a flatbed to take me back to the dealer.

Wouldn't your insurance have done that?

Sure but you would have to pay for Roadside Assistance for each of your vehicles. (we have 4) I skip paying for it with insurance and just pay for the Good Sam product which has no mileage limitations.
