What a sweet expression!
Rescue dogs are the best kind!
I’ve never quite figured out who rescued who.

Indeed! My avatar is the day Daisy and I met in person. She gave me a huge hug. Like I was going to say no at that point...[emoji3]
She was 2 then. I don’t know who her people were before or why they let her go but I’m just thrilled she’s part of our family. I’m quite sure she makes our lives a million times better than we make hers. Yay rescues! [emoji3]

IMHO, shelter dogs are the best kind, all of ours were from shelters or actually rescued right off the street. I have a lap full of them at the moment, happily sleeping off their breakfast.
Not sure who rescued who, but it’s all good.

SYC2Vette, here ya go...Lots of similarities in that gene pool for sure.
Looks like Nala's a bit taller and leaner...Bailey (Fem) eats like a horse even with the hitch in her giddy-up. Short on her walks but always seems to be able to make it to the food bowl. Nala also looks like she has the same cattle dog S & P on her back to add to the brindle.
Her friend ( the scruffy one, as a Brit at a recent campground referred to her) is Rooney age 3 (fem) The original name options after looking at her brows was either Andy or Rooney.
Both are sporting their new Camping 'danas from Lands End.
Happy Trails, woof

Yeah definitely cousins. I play with and walk the more "challenging" dogs at our local city shelter. Nala requires that we retract the adjacent dogs into the back of the kennels when getting her out the front gates, then no dogs in adjacent play areas both due to dog reactivity. Then I need to keep her 50 feet from other dogs when walking. She has a good life at our no-kill shelter with air conditioning and piped in music and twice daily walk and play but her ideal adopter will be a hermit on 5 acres. Meanwhile our personal rescue dog and Airstream companion is a gem that plays with everyone regardless of size and temperament.

I commend you for your work at the shelter! It must be very gratifying.
Bailey came with baggage. Supposedly duct taped to a bucket of cement with 2 sibs and tossed in the Willamette. Rescued by local utility worker. That's the rescue story, not sure of validity. Told she was not adoptable. she does not like men on bikes! Do know she would not stay in the room for a couple of months when i would walk in...men being the prob. Lots of love and time she has turned into a very sweet pal for us, she loves to travel and is a bunky for my wife in the 20. I take the dinette with Rooney.

Post your pet pictures
This is Lola. She’s the last remaining of the duo from the former 5 animal pack (formerly a dog, two cats, and two humans [emoji23]). She seems to do just fine full timing in the 25 ft AS with the rear bed and a single father (litter box in the back bedroom corner for those wondering). Upgrading to dust free litter has been a must though.
